As concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to grow here in Canada and globally, our key priority is keeping our employees and clients safe. We want to ensure we keep you up to date on how Downtown Subaru is here to help during this uncertain time.

Please note changes in our store, to protect clients and staff:

1) Limited capacity in customer lounge

2) Mandatory in store mask policy.  Outdoor check in available to accommodate those unable to wear a mask.

3) Shuttle service drop off available, one client or family at a time. Wait times are longer than normal.

Protective measures in store

As a precautionary measure, we continue to provide enhanced cleaning services, with increased attention to high-touch areas. We've made hand sanitizer available to all customers and employees.

Employee Processes:

Our employees are being provided with continuous communication and updated procedures regarding preventative measures to stop the transmission of COVID-19, including regular hand washing, frequently disinfecting high touch areas and customer waiting areas, practicing social distancing during an interaction, and access to hand sanitizer and gloves.

Employees who are feeling unwell have been asked to stay home and self-isolate for 14 days or until cleared to return by a health professional. We are not asking our employees to provide doctors notes and job security is not at risk due to COVID-19 related absences. Employees who have recently travelled are required to self-isolate for 14 days before returning to work.

Customer Focus:

Our customers can rest assured that we are taking every precaution possible when handling interactions and servicing your vehicle. We are sanitizing high-touch areas both in our stores as well as in customer vehicles, test-drive vehicles, demo vehicles in our showrooms, and pre-owned vehicles on our lots.

If you are not feeling well, we ask that you stay home and communicate with us through phone, email, or live chat.

We will continue to monitor the situation very closely, liaising with government and public health officials, and we'll keep you posted on what we're doing to help.
